Dreamz

DREAMZ

A dream home: A stone building- a half ‘kaularu’ (tiled roof) and half terraced house; a big one with eight big rooms. It would have a big, large basement for library (with all kinds of books, magazines, and journals), study room and 70mm theatre (there would be lots of movies of all sorts to watch). Of course, there would be toilet n’ bathrooms for all the rooms!
There would be verandahs to the four sides of the house, on which two people can easily sleep. On the terrace there would be a telescope. The hall would accommodate 100 people. One would be my room. One would be kitchen cum dining room. Two will be for people coming, especially closer ones, though all would be welcome. There would be trees all around the house. It would be located near mountains and there would be a waterfall. There would be lots of cats and two German Shepherds. The remaining two rooms would house the animals. There would be a stable housing two fine horses. Solar energy would be used as much as possible. There would be garden surrounding the house with trees and flowers. There would be a rainwater harvesting plant. Family and friends would always be welcome to visit whenever they want to and to stay according to their wish. This is dream house for me.

A flying dream: Who doesn’t want to fly? I wish I would have a glider and a helicopter. Then I can go flying and see the world below. So I can help needy migratory birds like the girl in ‘Fly Away Home’.

Traveling dream: I want to go to Antarctica. That’s my numero uno destination. The others are Russia, the most diverse area, with Siberia and the Gobi desert. Then all the islands starting with Andaman-Nicobar and Lakshadweep. Then all the deserts in the world. Ultimately, the whole world. To start with India is the best. And yes I want to visit Pluto. As it is the smallest and farthest planet, I have attraction for it. Yes I would like to travel in a submarine: around the world in a submarine.

Work dream: I wanted to become a veterinary doctor specializing in feline species. This not only includes domestic cats but also wild cats. I also wanted to be a detective. The only solace is I consider myself language detective and can only have cats as pets!
I wanted to become a volcano expert and also an expert in ice and snow. I also would like to be a documentary maker, then screenplay or teleplay writer and film critic. I wanted to be a professional child psychologist. I would like to translate children’s books, English to Marathi to start with.

Some of these dreams have the potential to be true. Some of these are not going to be fulfilled, but it’s ok, these at least give me the break from real world with unlimited power of imagination. It’s fun to cherish these dreams.
